Matthew Henry Bible Commentary App Reviews

Who is this developer who owns all of these? Now we have to pay all these bible apps that used to be free on the App Store. Thats unfortunate and these apps have in app purchases because they are useless otherwise.

Tried to open up the app but kept crashing before I could begin using

This was exactly what I was looking for, the entire MHC without paying an exorbitant amount of money, I will support this app in the near future and I implore everyone studying the bible or just looking for clarification to get this app right now, thank you Olev and God bless.

The app is simple to use. The content is, of course, good. This is a free app so it may not have some of the features of apps that arent but I find this app to be very useful and I gave it a good rating accordingly. Thanks to the developer for this app.

This goes well with and really helps me understand The Word of God. As a long time reader of the KJV of the Bible, I can really appreciate Matthew Henrys work that much more.

This already seems to be a great commentary. Its aesthetically pleasing in a very simple way. From what Ive read so far, Matthew Henry does a great job of breaking things down and Id recommend it to anyone. Very good revelation.

If you have iPhone 4 like me forget this app. Crashes and wont open.

I love this app. It is very informational and I love how you can click the scripture and it pops right up. You don’t even have to look it up.

The letters and the spacing is a little bit bothersome for someone like me who had a sensitive eye so if possible I will recommend making the letter a little more nicer and the spacing a little more further to each other so that the viewer’s will be able to get to see more clearly and promptly… Others are actually good.. there’s a lot of space for improvement and I am glad to share this experience with you guys…

Very good and wonderful explanation of the Bible!!

I was on the Spanish version and there’s a lot of orthographic mistakes, they should review and fix the issue. Some people take very serious the word of God. A little tip. The Bible says; Colossians 3:23 Thank you

The commentary provides the history and references to others scriptures. I learn how the scriptures relate to today’s world events and in my personal life.

Matthew Henry’s commentary provides me with opinion that has been shown over time to be supported by those who witness to the truth. “He that seeketh findeth. And to him that knocketh it shall be opened”. The Spirit guides, we trust and Matthew Henry’s Commentary helps us to verify who Jesus Christ is. Also, what he is asking of us…Very helpful guide to avoid “rabbit holes”.

I have it in book form, which is huge. The convenience and of course the content, to me, is the best commentary. I also have it on my IPads and in my phone. Great commentary.

I have learned so much I study deeper

This commentary is most helpful especially when I want a deeper explanation on a particular passage. The information here enlightened the eyes of my understanding. One thing I wish was available, and that is a place to log notes that leave some kind of icon on the page I’m reading on so it will be easy to just tap the icon and find the notes.

How beautiful to be reminded of what you should remember. Waking up or going through the day and a reminder pops checking to see if you read the Word blesses me. I don’t always get to read as much as I’d like, but I read a lot when I do. This is a great tool to have and the commentary is a plus. Thank you for this app, cause it helps. Bishop T.L. Simpson

I am so grateful to a friend who introduced me to this Commentary. Since then I keep it close by both in print and on my devices. I use it continuously to help with understanding the Holy Scriptures and for clarification and verification of issues that come up daily in life. It is a vital resource to have and I enjoy reading it always.. Thanks to the authors who took the time to out it together….

This app is a great free resource if you are looking to dig deeper in the word. I love how it explains every chapter in a way i can understand. The only reason i am rating it 3 stars is because the Spanish version while it is well translated i have encountered a couple of bad translations and A LOT of words that are not spaced out correctly and it makes it hard and frustrating to read at times. Overall, good app.

I really wish this had split screen so I can have the Bible on one side and the commentary on the other.

I’m so glad I started using this commentary to help with my daily Bible study. It has really been a resource that I use often and provides an in depth study that has helped me so much!

I just wish that you had more information on the people that are doing the commentaries a little bit of their background. It’s great for research. But it is a very helpful app and I love reading with a lot of the old guys who are not polluted by all of the technology that we have today.

Easy to use easy to get simply does the job

This commentary has been very helpful in deepening my understanding of the word of God.

I am a baby Christian and just like physical babies who come into the world the number one thing is sucking milk from mom or a bottle. Well, that’s me as it relates to Spiritual birth, I don’t understand that I read in Scripture and I don’t have a local church so I visit this commentary to provide Spiritual clarity and I have been assisted with out fail.
